Taking Better Care of Yourself with Simple Steps

We all can take better care of ourselves.  That’s an honest statement.  But it’s also an overwhelming statement these days.  Information, data, and perspectives are easy to obtain and much of it is guided by marketing with the intent to overwhelm so that you follow their sage wisdom.
Before you micromanage your diet and exercise and anything else that consumes your thoughts regarding wellness, lets start by creating a sound foundation.  Details should come later.  Macro thoughts will create the foundation.  First commit a certain amount of time to yourself.  “Doing something is better than not” is a very good, and simple, way to start this.  Ignore all the videos of ripped dudes microdissecting the failures of seemingly healthy foods.  It’s not that they are wrong, it’s just too much to focus on in the moment.  Start simple.  Goal number one could be “Commit 45 minutes four days a week to me, without distractions.”
Goal number two might be “Add a vegetable to dinner” or “Start the day with a glass of water and a protein-focused smoothie.”  Now, you have two simple goals to complete that are guaranteed to help you progress toward taking better care of yourself.
Start easily and avoid creating a personal bottleneck that stops you from starting.
